We believe that true Christian fellowship/community an extremely important key to growth and maturity. As such, we are in the process of creating more ways to get people in continual fellowship. Sunday mornings simply aren’t enough. Growth comes from being involved in each others lives and forming deep, meaningful relationships.
Home fellowships / Life Groups
In February, we will begin offering home fellowship opportunities (often called home-groups, life groups, cell groups, etc.). These face-to-face meetings will give participants a chance to develop deeper relationships, getting to know each other in a more meaningful way than is possible when we we just see each other before / after church on Sundays. Our goal is to see people encouraging each other and “doing life” together with Christ as the central core — binding us together.
The City
Secondly, we are utilizing technology to help keep people in-touch and “in-the-loop.” This is complimentary to what we are planning with home fellowships. Beyond joining us for our weekly Sunday morning worship gatherings, the easiest way to begin connecting with others at The Gathering is by joining our online community called “the City”. The City will provide a way for you to connect with other people you might already know, search for and choose a home fellowship you would like to visit, find a place to serve, and more. Along with helping you get connected and stay connected, most of our church-wide communication will be handled on The City.
If you don’t have an account on The City and would like to start getting connected today, feel free to register for an account here.
