The Epistles of John

John’s epistles contain a TON of valuable information for believers. As we go through these books, it is important to remember that John was probably closer to Jesus than all the other disciples. John’s Gospel focuses on the love of Jesus and the fact that God loves us and had a plan for us from eternity past. And the final book of our Bible, the Book of Revelation, reveals God’s plan for us in eternity future. But, we find ourselves here, between eternity past and eternity future; we face the struggle and hardship associated with living day-to-day.

John calls us to “live in the Light” of God’s Love: to embrace the truths of God, and to live holy lives. As a result of that, we begin to experience true fellowship with other believers.
