Colossians: The Centrality of Christ

Colossians is considered to be a ‘sister’ book to the Epistle to the Ephesians. Where Ephesians addresses the relationship between Christ and the Church, Colossians emphasizes the relationship between Christ and the individual believer.  Colossians is also very applicable to us today because this was a letter that Paul wrote to a church of Gentile believers – a church that he did not plant, comprised of people that he had never met, and dealing with mindsets that we face today.  In other words, if Paul were to write a book to us, it would be very similar to the book of Colossians.
